9 Stunning Photos Of Melting Ice In Greenland And Antarctica

Another frightening thing to think about is if all the glaciers and ice is melting at an acelerating rate in the northern hemisphere and Antarctica's is said to be gaining mass then maybe sooner than we think the earth is in for a rotational fix. Think about it a rotating object who center of gravity changes wobbles more. Just 25 million years ago the Antarctica was in a much warmer place than it is today maybe it will be again real soon. Ha, maybe on Dec 21 2012..

Ron, you should think about mass ratios of ice to continental plates and continental plates to planetary mass totals before you make similar remarks- again.

It is MAGNETIC poles which reverse periodically for poorly understood reasons, not geographic poles, and it is a reasonably sure thing that ice has little to do with it.

Again, ice melting in summer, big surprise. Science? Grade school level. Performance art? Boring and pretentious.

There are a ton of glaciers down there and most are touching the oceans. The look fine from above, but are melting from the under side.
