Watch A 10-Year-Old Aspiring Journalist Interview The Head Of NASA

Humans of outer space

It is a truth universally acknowledged that kids like space. A few weeks ago, photographer Brandon Stanton, who runs the incredibly popular Humans of New York (HONY) website, took a picture of a young man named Max standing with his father on a street in New York City.

The photo is captioned with Max's dream to become a reporter like his dad, and his desire for his first story to be an interview with the "Director of NASA." Max wanted to "ask him about his rockets. And if any of them were going to space."

Stanton managed to set up an interview between Max and the current NASA Administrator, Charles Bolden. NASA posted a video of the interview online this morning. You can watch the interview above.

In the story Max wrote for HONY he concludes, "I had so much fun and I hope one day that I'll be able to work for the news again."

We hope so too, Max. Keep up the good work.
