Taiwan's animated news service thinks it just might happen

Fembot Teacher NMA.tv

Will 2011 be the year we finally welcome robots into our lives? We're already well on our way, as the brilliant animators at Next Media Animation show us in this video. And their proof comes straight from the pages of PopSci.

Already, robots are serving food at a Chinese restaurant; teaching English to South Korean children; and driving Google cars.

And how could we (or NMA) forget Japanese roboticist Hiroshi Ishiguro, known for his creepily lifelike fembots and Larvabot, the telenoid robot.

It's only a matter of time, NMA suggests, before the military uses fembots for nefarious ends and before they start doing some real damage to human relationships.
