About

Annie Colbert is the editor-in-chief of Popular Science. She thinks the best stories start with a glint of curiosity about the world around us. She loves flipping through old issues of the magazine and hearing from long-time readers. She’s grateful to lead a publication that introduced generations of people to ground-breaking science and futuristic tech. You can hear her on the “Ask Us Anything” podcast and see her on the Popular Science YouTube channel.

Experience

Before joining Popular Science, Annie spent 10 years at Mashable. She launched the site's culture vertical, making weird-looking cats famous and teaming up with Muppets to do science experiments. She later ran day-to-day editorial strategy across all desks as Executive Editor.

Favorite weird science fact
