Popular Science+ on the Big Screen

During today's iPhone OS 4 preview at Apple headquarters in Cupertino, Steve Jobs singled out Popular Science+ as "king of the hill" of magazine apps for the iPad, telling the assembled press and developers that "these guys did something really, really breakthrough.".

Needless to say, we're thrilled to hear the man himself is enjoying reading PopSci on iPad Number One. Join him today and grab Popular Science+ in the App Store.

OOOOHH so THAT'S why you guys have been gushing over the iPad. There's a revenue stream at stake.

that's what i was thinking. i know journalists gush over apple in general anyway, but sheesh. how many apple rules references in the past 2 months? get a room guys.

slate is superior. WE WANT HP SLATE.

also bread, everywhere.

Proofs in the pudding ...
Probably why I login every day to check out what's new.
Would be nice for some FEEDBACK from PopSci on our comments though ladies/gents.
Keep up the good work ..... Engage !

42.

Someone is going to offer an android tablet in like three days only it will have working wifi.

You guys called it! PopSci.com is just one giant conspiracy to sell iPads! Nothing gets past you.

That's it????

Thirteen seconds of video and a static image of the PopSci cover???

Come on! You want people to get interested, why not show it in action? Putting Steve Jobs in the video saying, "it's really, really awesome" or whatever and not showing it is like getting a brand new AAA-title video game and then remembering that you don't have a TV, console or whatever else to play it on. All you can do is stare at the box art.

That's just plain dumb.

Sarcasm! I LOVE sarcasm! I really really do!

Yeah lately it seems as if all this website has been is an iPad advertisement...anyway I'm looking forward to the Microsoft Courier if it goes into production.

That's funny John! :-)

I tried downloading the current issue and its real slow. it gets disconnected couple of time. I am still eagerly waiting for the issue to download so that I can have that feel of iPad POPSCI.

really this is a nice web thank you thanks admin good post super messege

John, I wasn't even being serious. It was just a joke. I noticed a lot of iPad chatter lately and used the previous poster's comment as a segue to say ya'll need to get a room. I understand you have to review the new stuff. But when there are 5 ipad related articles in 8 days the joke just begs itself to be made. The door was standing wide open. Don't be hatin'.

the app is a pain in the ass.......to learn to use

for you Slate Fans........the rumor is the Slate was killed today because it is slow freaking slow.......I bought my first apple product this week. An Ipad and it changes everything.....I won't be buying any Apple computers, but the Ipad is totally different.

Just for accuracy, updated my Popsci app by downloading it again. It works much better than before. Much smoother and no more herky jerky movement. Once you get the hang of it,......... pretty damn nice.

I tried the Popular Science app recently, and was quite disappointed. The reading experience that I had anticipated was not there at all. Of course, the design is sleek and looks very good, but in the end you just find yourself confusedly swiping and tapping all over the place.

I'm hoping that future versions will focus more on the reading experience of a good magazine, instead of the flicking and the graphics.

More substance and less style-how very unAmerican. Probably half of the target market do not buy the things because of what they can really do, but because they look like the shiny new toy. I'd bet good money on less than 1 in 500 being used at its capacity.
