Songs to sing your way through the 2017 eclipse

Your body is ready for our celestial bodies playlist.

The August 21 eclipse will soon be upon us. Whether you’re venturing out to some far-off location for a pristine view or simply enjoying a partial eclipse from your own backyard, you’ll probably want some tunes to accompany the event. As the sun slowly disappears, enjoy the total weirdness of totality with some music on the darker side, and then celebrate its triumphant return with some brighter bops.

And if you’re not happy with our selections, well, at least we didn’t just tell you to listen to that same Bonnie Tyler song 16 times in a row. Happy stargazing!
