ok if I order one for work can I get the face deleted , it really doesnt need a face does it , its an industrial machine , a pallet jack with a computer, come on , I dont work in a Toy Story cartoon or something .

#6 its the terminator OH SHIZ!!!!!!1!1!11111!!!!!!

I agree, it does not need a face.

I believe that robotic hands will surpass human hand dexterity in the near future (already have with the DaVinci robotic system) and the use of this type of robotic hands will be basics in future surgeons training.

Isn't the future great?

We are privileged to be alive in the most exciting century of human kind's evolution!

Uck. The full-story comment section has degenerated into bickering over robot lovers.

Meanwhile, the Yurina Care Robot sounds like a good idea. With medical tech lengthening the average lifespan, we're going to have a lot of old people in the future. Finding ways to keep them mobile and productive in society will be a whole lot more economical than just sticking them in rest homes - not to mention less demeaning and offering continued opportunities to the aged.

Also reminds me of an old anime show, Roujin Z. Anyone here ever heard of it?

hahaha that one with the face is creepy!!!!

LOL... I think the funniest thing about if these become a marketable female replacement is that if it does women are going to actually have to TRY and nail a guy. Women enjoy it now, because you won't always have the ability to control men like that. Hey you don't want to give me sex because I ignored you? Fine, I'll go **** my Jessica Alba clone.

I think that I would prefer a robot that does not try to look like a human.

The TOPIO seems unrealistic in that they tried to make it human like, I mean, can it really play ping pong like a pro?

I wonder what the carbon boot print is of these. More or less than a human...

The newest of the robot family is the radon remediation robot. It will debut in Japan next year with all of the newest radon abatment and radon testing technologies. Keep an eye out for my new Popsci Radon Gas blog: www.MitigationSystem.com - As I mentioned before, radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer. Over 8 Million U.S. homes have dangerous levels of radon gas (radon level of 4.0 or higher is dangerous according to EPA.) Learn more about radon testing and radon remediation at www.RadonMitigation.us or wait for my new post about radon abatement next week. Thanks for all of your help in this battle against radon and cancer.

#7 is a cutie. :)

On #1 the face was some Japanese guy's idea. Not ours.

Sounds good, next-generation industrial robot the best. it can make our life easier and lighter.

As i recall. Japan is an industrial robot powerhouse, with over 370,000 in use in 2005 about 40 percent of the global total and 32 robots for every 1,000 Japanese manufacturing employees according to a recent report by Macquarie Bank. The main focus of the International Robot Exhibition, which kicked off in Tokyo, is on industrial robots. I hope this kind of exhibitions will help on a global scale.
