Wow. A computer that starts up in twenty seconds? that's unheard of. Unless i'm forgetting something, oh yeah, MY 6 YEAR OLD iMAC STARTS UP THAT FAST!!
hax!
There are only 96 inventions or advances lol
3 are repeated and the last one just gives a link to view something else
Then again I guess 96 doesn't sound as cool lol
Icon A5 was number one for me i want to fly too!
it looks so cool even the design was amazing
whats the cost?

Annoyingly enough, the gallery won't advance beyond #68 for me
As someone who lives within a mile of a golf course created with over a million tons of fly ash (a beneficial use - ya right), I find EcoRock (slide 37) quite disturbing.
Quote: "The fly ash, slag, kiln dust and fillers—85 percent of which are industrial by-products—react chemically when mixed with water and bind together into a paste that’s poured into sheets."
Fly ash is KNOWN to contain Arsenic along with other harmful materials in it (lead, mercury, etc). Many of the compounds found in fly ash are at concentrations 10 times that of regular coal. Many of the compounds found in fly ash are known to cause birth defects, cancer and other illnesses. And in our case not much is needed to contaminate ground water, as that is what has happened despite promises that the fly ash was bound up in a form to render it harmless.
So when I look at EcoRock it seems like history repeating itself. When this stuff starts to break down and create dust, I bet that will be just as bad as asbestos cleanup and will require all sorts of expensive permits and procedures just to remove this stuff. Why not use coconut husks instead?
While the technology displayed here is cool, the technology used on this web page is TERRIBLE.
There is no "skip to" number"
No way to send a specific invention to a friend
The left-arrow doesn't go to #100 from #1? And on some browsers (firefox 2 for example) pages don't load after #67.
Come on popsci.
Agree with Niatriac1, page 69+ won't load in Google Chrome.
I have no luck with page 69 with both Chrome and Firefox, but I digress. Now back on topic, what I really like is the concrete blaster. I love technology with a soul and real purpose, and that just does it for me.
