Science is reinventing play, from extreme sports to gamification to ridiculous roller coasters to the playgrounds of tomorrow, and this issue is chock full of fun. Also, on a less fun note: Did global warming destroy my hometown?
According to my calculations, a 170,0000 ton robot is the equivalent of a solid cube of steel 187 feet on each side. That robot doesn't seem it could possibly weigh that much - certainly not even that large, and that would leave little room for the ashtray... Must be made of nonobtainium.
(This was about the Air Force robot in image 12. I didn't realize it would post the comment under image 1.)
Omnibot 2000 is creepy! Wouldn't want one at home. I would fear it turns out like ''Dream House''!
i Like robots and rodots like me har har har
170,0000 tons is not accurate...the original article reads 170,000 pounds.

There is a delivery cart that rolls around in the Hampton Virginia VA Medical Center. I saw it rolling around almost every time I was there. I saw it, or another copy, on different floors also, so either it can also take elevators or they have more then one. It talks to let people around it know that its there and when its going to stop. It looked like it delivered mail, supplies and some other odds and ends.

That one was in Rocky IV. Rocky gave it to Paulie for is Bithday.
It is not a man... It's a piece of iron!
Uhhh, why give the robot a gun? Why stand right in front of him when he has it? Why press the "shoot" button when a girl is around? Too many questions for science to answer!
