It seems to me that many of the "kill it with fire" techniques would lead to a run-away effect that would lead to a 'virtual' genocide anyway. I'd hate to see an entire race disappear just because they annoy us. I thought the mosquitoes that deliver the vaccine to be useful in many ways, though. We could have a roving population that delivers Flu vaccines or tetanus shots, or other useful medicine, spawned inside the mosquito and delivered directly to everyone for free. Seems like it would be especially useful for places like sub-Saharan Africa, where delivering vaccines has been difficult and costly.
