Rescue Robot ATLAS Breaks Its Ankle During Public Debut [Video]

"We have discovered its weakness! Humanity has a chance!"

There's a good case to be made that the media overhypes how scary some robots are. Point taken. But I don't think anyone would deny that the 'bots created by the company Boston Dynamics are at least a little on the creepy side--so it's good to see they're fallible.

Example: the humanoid ATLAS robot, seen here breaking its ankle and falling over. _Ha. Try to overthrow humanity now, dummy. _

The robot took a tumble in front of journalists during its first public demonstration, in Hong Kong, flailing and falling when it tried to walk. So there! Nothing to worry about, everyone. (Unless that's just its plan to lull us in to false security.)
