Technology news moves absurdly fast. Trying to keep up with all the new gadgets, security issues, business scandals, Congressional hearings, firmware updates, and whatever the heck Elon Musk is up to at the moment can get overwhelming, fast. That’s why the Techathlon podcast exists.
Over the course of roughly 40 episodes this year, we’ve spent our time breaking down technology news into fun trivia games, trash talking each other, and secretly using the show as an excuse to buy weird food with the company card.
Now, we’re at the end of 2019 and—in the grand tradition of the internet—we’re obligated to look back at the past 12 months. It’s also a lot easier than coming up with fresh ideas for content. We’re pretty tired.
In this episode of the Techathlon podcast, we’re taking our Techathlon Decathlon trivia segment and expanding it. Instead of 10 questions that cover the top stories from the week, we’re doing 20 questions in a round robin format to cover the entire year.
Twenty questions is a bunch, so be sure to do your stretches before hopping in. We don’t want anyone pulling a brain hammy.
Since every host wrote five of the questions this time around, it’s totally possible for you to get all of them right and get a higher score than any of us could have hoped for.
We’ll have a bonus show in your feeds next week that will also include the staff’s picks of our favorite segments from the first year of this malfunctioning theme park ride we call a podcast.
