Corals and sponges are not the most dynamic creatures, to say the least. They spend the majority of their time in one place, moving incredibly slowly. But seen in timelapse videos, they can be incredibly dynamic. Researchers at the University of Alberta even caught a sponge sneezing on camera.

But to really appreciate the beauty of these underwater creatures, take a look at the beautiful short film …meanwhile… created by Sandro Bocci. I can’t decide which part is my favorite: the ones that look like beautiful pink hands with a few too many fingers unfurling, or the beautiful green beastie that appears to be swallowing miniature Tribbles (in the picture above).
