Meet Volly, the Western Hognose Snakelet.

If you’ve never seen a snake drink water, it has been adorably captured by Tumblr user “Tentadog”. She shared a few choice GIFs of her Western Hognose Snake, “Volly”, drinking water (from underwater!) and hanging out by the bowl. The Western Hognose, or Heterodon nasicus, is found from south central Canada to northern Mexico, according to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, typically reaching an adult length of two feet. They’re known showoffs, inflating to bulk up before hissing and flattening to fake a cobra hood when threatened—though they also play dead.
