Remotely Rocking Cradle Is The Next Step Towards ‘Brave New World’
Just let the robots do the parenting

Starting this fall, exhausted parents can soothe their crying babies without getting out of bed. The Smart Connect Cradle ‘n Swing from Fisher-Price can rock your baby from front to back or side to side, while playing a song or spinning a mobile. Parents can control all these features from anywhere in the home using a smartphone or tablet.
It sounds an awful lot like the mechanical baby manufacturing process from Brave New World, minus the loud noises and electric shocks used to condition babies for their social castes. Though who knows, maybe those capabilities will be added in the next upgrade. A hidden camera would be helpful too, so parents can make sure the baby’s still in the crib … and just to enhance the dystopian effect.
