NASA App Brings Data About The Earth To Its Inhabitants

One of 10 award-winning science visualizations from the 2015 Vizzies

Scientists at NASA collect reams of data about Earth and its place in the universe--data that often doesn’t find its way to the public. So a team of media experts and programmers at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland released this app, which publishes videos, images, and animations from several NASA agencies twice a week, along with a story sharing the science behind the visuals.

"NASA Visualization Explorer" won the People's Choice award for Games & Apps at the 2015 Vizzies. See all 10 of the winners here.
