NASA App Brings Data About The Earth To Its Inhabitants
One of 10 award-winning science visualizations from the 2015 Vizzies

Scientists at NASA collect reams of data about Earth and its place in the universe–data that often doesn’t find its way to the public. So a team of media experts and programmers at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland released this app, which publishes videos, images, and animations from several NASA agencies twice a week, along with a story sharing the science behind the visuals.
“NASA Visualization Explorer” won the People’s Choice award for Games & Apps at the 2015 Vizzies. See all 10 of the winners here.
