Despite political difficulties in Ukraine, the second Zubr air cushioned landing craft (LCAC) was handed off from Feodosiya Shipyard without incident. China had ordered four Zubr hovercraft from Ukraine, with two built in Ukraine and the transfer of technology to build another two in Huangpu, China. The Zubr is the world’s largest and most heavily armed hovercraft; it can carry three tanks or five hundred troops and has rockets, air defense missiles and autocannons. The Zubr also has enough range at 480 km to either attack large or small islands, or flank the coastlines of North Korea or Vietnam for Special Forces attacks.
