Bill Nye "The Science Guy" of '90s television fame will soon turn his efforts to educating the cord-cutter generation. Announced to much fanfare back in August, his new Netflix show "Bill Nye Saves the World" finally has an official airdate: April 21.

Here's the description of the show released back in August:

Each episode will tackle a topic from a scientific point of view, dispelling myths and refuting anti-scientific claims that may be espoused by politicians, religious leaders or titans of industry.

Nye's show is coming at a time when scientific literacy is more important than ever. The institutions tasked with upholding sound scientific research are tweeting out DailyMail articles in an effort to disprove climate change.

Meanwhile, the planet is getting hotter and the Arctic is flunking out of existence. And that's just, like, one episode?
