You'll want to get back into the swing of things Milky 'cause I'm right on your heels. Yep, that's right: I broke 100 and I'm only 2 ranks behind you milk. Time to think up a new goal. -NapkinG-

Agreed on many of your points vulg, Yeah, when I first heard about Xbox Live Gold accounts gaining streaming access to their Netflix accounts I too though it would increase the subscribers base (and I still do). You are right that not all Xbox Live accounts count as Netflix subscribers. To gain access to Netflix streaming via Xbox 360 you have to have: a Netflix subscriber's account, an Xbox Live Gold account (so you're paying both M$ and Netflix) and finally live in a supported Xbox Live region (ie. only the States)[curses, no movie streaming for me]. So, even though the appeal is there for Xbox customers to start up a Netflix account I'm pretty sure Netflix would have included those estimates into their numbers themselves. I believe that these partnerships will increase subscribers but those numbers are likely already estimated and accounted for. This leaves us with Netflix's own estimates that they won't reach 10M by the end of year. Who else better than the actual company to estimate their own outlook? -NapkinG-

Bingo Bill. I've interpreted it as in waiting for the DHS to release the report and the result of the report will determine payout amount. On another note, I hate typing in caps for emphasis, and I've seen others type in bold here in the forums. Could anyone tell me how to do this? This really should be more obvious. I only learned about it since there's a link available when you start a new thread (but not a new post). www.popsci.com/filter/tips In a nutshell: < b> BOLD < /b> < i> italics < /i> emphasized and strong just seem to be bold and italics with more typing. There's no underline and I don't know how to use the 'cited' and 'coded' tags. You can also create nicely formatted lists. There's some way to preset where your First Post (ie. new thread) breaks into the short version but I can't remember, its on the preview page. -NapkinG-

Thanks for posting alan, I found those same number, just never got around to posting them myself. Those are from their Q3 update report whatever. I'm thinking we'll end up waiting until the Q4 results are released by Netflix, which may be as much as a month later; I don't see any other way for these numbers to get released shy of media leaks. -NapkinG-

The Final Environmental Impact Statement is expected in the first week of December, or December 21st at the absolute latest. www.themercury.com/news/article.aspx?articleId=9fe767b23af34ec18f3f7c5f31aab448 "Whichever site is recommended would have to be formally ratified by DHS Undersecretary Jay Cohen, who by law cannot issue his decision until 30 days have elapsed from publication of the final EIS. DHS officials have consistently said they expect Cohen to ratify whatever decision is recommended in the final EIS." It seems that there is pressure to have the decision made before Obama is sworn in so that means that the report has to be out by December 20th at the latest if that were to happen. Keep your feeds going for 'NBAF' or 'National Bio- and Agro-defense Facility' going next week. -NapkinG-

You're treading a very fine line here chef. I do agree that the admins should begin producing the reasoning for why stocks close the way they do. A simple update to the stock page after it closes with appropriate links would do wonders. Yes, the proof that the prop would close long had already occurred before the stock went live. Yes, if we had an omniscient overseer this would not have happened but I don't think God would himself get involved with this stock exchange. So, we're stuck with mere humans to run and participate. (unless you believe in vampires among us) It is a collective job for all involved to continue to research these topics to see whether they have been satisfied or not. It is also the responsibility of every trader to become educated in the stocks which they are trading in. The reason this 'San Diego I-15' knowledge was only discovered now is because the stock is now in the spotlight. Had anyone done the same research back when it went live, it would've closed right awawy. (none of the quotes vulgarian and I showed were released in the past year). -NapkinG- PS. (as an aside, this is one reason why I find the 'occurred by' method to be less than ideal [there's always the outside chance that someone else in the world did it first] but we're using it so we need to accept all its consequences)

I would think we'd go with the MSRP: if ASUS sets the MSRP at $450 but, say, best buy sells it at $525, that's bb's loss/gain, but not ASUS's. Same other way around where the retail store would sell it at a discount below the $500 mark, while the MSRP would be above. But that's the ting, if it gets MSRP'ed at the "$500" price point, it'll be at $499.99, not at $499.00 or $498.99 or $500.00. There has to be a cut-off price somewhere and the payout can change by as simple as a penny. -NapkinG-
