Fluctuations in the market are what keeps this exchange both realistic and entertaining. Putting multipliers on stocks will stagnate the market and make it completely unrealistic. I think Taylor needs the power to Halt stocks not a committee of users.

This is not a short anymore. Carl Icahn is on board and that means $$$$$$$$$. Both companies stink right now and they need each other to remain solvent. This pays out if they announce that they will merge. Although the word "will" is alittle troubling, you could take that to mean that they ARE going to merge, as in, the deal is done and its going to happen. You could also take it to mean that they will begin negotiating a merger. If we're talking about announcing a formal bid for the company then this is long for sure. Some clarity would be nice.

New federal figures released on May 14th show that 16% of households use only a cellphone; completely foregoing a landline telephone. I think that we could make an IPO betting that 20% of households will only use cellphones in 2008. It can payout as soon as the data is released.

MS is giving up!!! (For now) This stock better payout because it seems pointless to sit around for the next couple of years waiting for Yahoo to make an ass out of themselves. http://money.cnn.com/2008/05/05/markets/thebuzz/index.htm?postversion=2008050512
