It sounded like a cool project but with compressed air at $7-$8 a can it would not be very practical. Just find the vent in your freezer(you can feel cold air blowing out) and put the can in front of it. In fifteen to twenty minutes it will be fairly cold. It's not twenty seconds but it's still pretty quick.
No I did not try holding the can sideways. Did it help?
