Over the weekend President Obama and other world leaders broke the news: No legally binding international climate-change treaty this year.
Here's the thing that has me so fired up about Climate Change and our IRRESPONSIBLE ATTITUDE towards it. Science has proven that the Earth is hotter than it has ever been right now. We have less ice at the poles than we've ever had right now. The level of the ocean is higher than it has ever been right now. It is clear from the evidence that the reason the Earth has this incredible fever is because of carbon emissions by man in the last 100 years. Um, that IS what the Global Warming Alarmists would have us believe, is it not? As an exercise of logic, if the Earth has ever been hotter than it is today, despite the lack of man's input, then it would follow that 1) Earth can survive higher temperatures and 2) it is impossible to tell if we are the cause of the most recent increase. To claim that man is the cause simply because we are here "this time" is the worst kind of post-hoc argument. Next, consider this. What was so special about the Earth's temperature in 1900 that any significant increase from that level would be "catastrophic"? As glaciers have melted and retreated, they have found the fossilized remains of farms where the ice once was. In other words, the ice wasn't always there - the Earth WAS warmer. Step back and look people. The whole Man-made Global Warming Myth doesn't even pass the laugh test.
The Department of Energy just gave $100,000 to upstart company Solar Roadways, to develop 12-by-12-foot solar panels, dubbed "Solar Roads," that can be embedded into roads, pumping power into the grid. The panels may also feature LED road warnings and built-in heating elements that could prevent roads from freezing.
THIS IS REDICULOUS - HERE'S WHY: Whenever you have new technology such as this that requires massive production and massive remaking of infrastructure, by the time you get it in place, it is already obsolete. Once they pave all our highways with these panels, they will have created new panels 100 times more efficient. Imagine if they had embedded 486 Processor PC's in all our freeways (hey, they seemed fast at the time)? No, the real ANSWER for free solar power will hinge upon the perfection of wireless power transmission with huge space-based solar collectors beaming power to earth. No infrastructure and when the technology improves, just upgrade the satellite.
Human activity has widely affected our planet, reshaping surfaces, moving or extinguishing species, and warming the air and water. Now scientists say our reach has been extended even further -- warming oceans may even start to shift the Earth's axis of rotation.
Manmade Global Warming - Hmmmm. Ok, to actually believe mankind is warming the Earth through his nefarious activities, one needs to make several leaps of logic. 1. One must assume that the temperature of earth around 1900 was for some reason the "ideal" temperature for our planet. That the mass of glacial ice on Earth in 1900 was the "ideal" mass. Any derivation from this "ideal" temperature shall surely result in our destruction. 2. One must assume that an increase in CO2, a "trace gas" (i.e., there is almost none) can actually cause the Earth to warm significantly, moreso even than the land, water and air, of which there are VAST amounts. Saying the CO2 can warm the Earth is like holding a match to a tub of cool water expecting it to eventually boil. 3. One must ignore the historical fossil record which shows not that increases in CO2 "preceded" global warming, but that increases in CO2 actually occured as a "result" of global warming. In the case, the chicken actually did come first. 4. One must believe that since man is causing the current global warming, all previous occasions when the Earth has been warmer than it is now must have been caused by troglodytes manning factories beneath the ground. I could go on for pages. The idea that tiny little man could cause global warming in the face of vast and powerful nature is laughable and a religion, not science. Oh, and by the way, the Earth is currently in a "cooling" trend. Now THAT's an Inconvenient Truth. Manmade Global Warming is the ultimate post hoc argument: "After this, therefore because of this..." The Earth has warmed and cooled countless times over the eons, but since we are HERE now, it becomes our fault. Al Gore's personal fortune when he left office in 2000 ($2 million). Al Gore's personal fortune today? ($200 million).
So it looks like it's not all gloom and doom after all. A few recent studies have managed to find the slim silver lining of climate change. Below, a look at the three small positive outcomes of global warming.
CO2 is a greenhouse gas. Lots and lots of CO2 (as on Venus) creates a runaway greenhouse effect and boiling temperatures. Unfortunately for the global warming crazies, there is only a tiny-itty-bitty-little-bit of CO2 in Earth's atmosphere. You see, it isn't just the presence of CO2 that causes warming, it's the DENSITY. There simply is not enough. To say man-made CO2 is warming the planet would be like me trying to warm a tub of cold water by dropping a warm marble into it - impossible. On Earth, it is solar activity as well as water vapor and the oceans that account for our warming and cooling, not CO2. The Earth warms and cools in cycles, always has. They have discovered ancient farms under the retreating glaciers in Norway. To say that the TINY bit of CO2 humans put in the air has ANY effect on global temperatures is just bad agenda-based non-science. P.S., Al Gore has made millions and millions and millions off the global warming fraud. Next time you question the motives of a scientist who is "in-the-pocket" of big oil, question the motives of Al Gore who got rich selling worthless carbon credits. You've been had people.
