One in Eight U.S. Biology Teachers Teaches Creationism

The results of the first national survey of teachers about evolution in their classrooms are in. Darwin would quiver in his boots to learn that in this day and age, one in eight American biology teachers teach creationism and intelligent design as a sound alternative to his theory. In fact, 13 percent of the country’s teachers think they can run an excellent biology class without even mentioning Darwin or evolution.

"If you want to look at macroevolutionary change, consider the existence of the appendix and tailbone in humans, neither of which have a use in the body, yet are functional in other animals. Both are vestigial features that indicate that modern humans are one step along an evolutionary continuum." That is not proof. It's just another idea of what could have happened. This debate could obviously go on forever, and it has been ever since the mid 1800's. But one question still remains unanswered by evolution. Where did life come from in the first place? Intelligent Design gives the plausible reason that "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" (Genesis 1:1 NIV Bible). But evolution cannot provide any credible answer, only theories that take more faith to believe in then the Bible.

CAN ANYONE PROVIDE ME WITH SOME PROOF OF EVOLUTION!!!!!!!! because all I have read is that evolution must be true because . . . . . . . . I would really like to hear some solid examples that supports evolution.

There is no evidence for Evolution, therefor it cannot be called a scientific law, so it remains the Theory of Evolution. "Support Science not Superstition" I use science to support religion. In fact, science is religion's greatest tool! Modern Science is helping to disprove evolution by showing just how crazy it really is. This world is set up too perfectly to be considered an accident. Only by ID could this world have been created.

There is one huge problem with evolution. It's a THEORY! because nothing about it has been proven. Every evolutionist says that life began with one simple life form, yet none of them can give a good reason for how that life form was created!!! So if evolutionists are just teaching ideas instead of facts (because there are no facts) are they no different from the preacher on Sunday morning? Both are strictly stating their opinion on a given topic. The more science develops, the easier it is to believe in ID, rather than evolution. Science is now disproving evolution. For example, The idea of Spontaneous Generation was believed to be a scientific law because some guy put a wet T-shirt and some hay in a wooden box, and found the next morning that a hole had been chewed through one side of the box. He concluded that a mouse had Spontaneously Generated from the T-shirt/hay combination, and chewed his way out. This experiment, and others like it, were enough to make Spontaneous Generation a scientific law! Of course we now know that a mouse obviously chewed his way into the box, and not out of it. Anyone who believes evolution can be proven is just wrong! Nothing can be proven 100%. ID provides a clear and easy reason for the creation of life. Also, the idea that Carbon Dating disproves the idea of the earth being less the 10,000 years old is also flawed. A few years ago, some scientists put a group of chemicals in a container (these chemicals made up the chemical formula for a common rock) and tested it with carbon dating. The results said that the "rock," which had just been created, was over 100 million years old. Carbon Dating doesn't work and cannot be accepted as proof of anything.
