Coca-Cola Health Awareness Award: The Fifth Element Project
The Italian Ingenium Team's Fifth Element Project is an interactive Kinect game that is customizable for individual children suffering from autism. The system then sends back information from these "motion-based educational experiences" to a therapist, through communication services and a web portal, who can then monitor the child's therapy remotely.
Five amazing, clean technologies that will set us free, in this month's energy-focused issue. Also: how to build a better bomb detector, the robotic toys that are raising your children, a human catapult, the world's smallest arcade, and much more.
