A Triple Julia Set

This circle dates back to 1996, but is a favorite of Taylor because it depicts the Julia set.
This circle, in a wheat field at Windmill Hill, Wiltshire, was one of a series of circles that summer that represented fractals, or self-similar repeating patterns.
A Julia set fractal had appeared in the same year at Stonehenge, according to Alexander. This circle was nicknamed the 'Triple Julia' because it appeared to have three Julia spirals. The spirals were actually not true Julia spirals, but it was one of the most ambitious crop circles of that year, Alexander said.
