Reports Indicate Iran Has America's Missing RQ-170 Stealth Drone

I bet the Iranians have already started taking bids from China and Russia on this little piece of technology.

I guess it's time we take a more "strategic" approach to Iran, if you catch my drift....

So did we leave it parked in Iraq with the keys in it? How the heck do they get it without shooting it down?

If it malfunctioned and lost communication or lost it's bearing, it seems like they'd have a self-destruct code programmed in...or at least a "Land-Anywhere-Other-Than-Countries-That-Hate-America" code programmed in...

This story seems as 'accurate' as some of the crap that went around before, during, and after the Bin Laden hit.

Was it shot down or was it commandeered by Iranian Forces? If you remember about 2 months ago Creech AFB suffered a STUXNET type virus attack. Creech AFB is the home of the US Air Forces UAV operations. Is it possible that from that attack Iran or some other nation working with Iran was able to learn how to take over control of an UAV?
Maybe it's time to go back to manned aircraft to avoid this type of tragic loss of highly classified technology.

Do people actually believe FOX news? And yes, they have programming to crash or blow up in certain situations. Also, it's loaded with anti tamper devices that destroy electronics if anyone tries to mess with it in the wrong manner.

Apparently from what I have heard, The U.S. Air Force lost control of the drone, I checked on some websites and looked at some Pakistani website which said that the Iranian Air Force hacked into the drones system and brought it down in one piece, The u.s. military was making a cover story that it was having "malfunctions" when they lost control of it, so apparently Iranian military have high tech hacking technology, so if it is true, which there is no evidence to support them having the RQ_170 yet at least, we have definitely undermined Iranians technology capabilities

we can't rule anything out yet, until they come out with enough evidence to support what they are saying, but so far nothing. This is the third so-called, "shot-downed" UAV by Iranians but no evidence was produced, so who knows.....may be true, may be not, but all is for sure, if they do have it, it will be a tremendous loss for our stealth technology as it is the same that is produced in our f-22 fighter planes, that's not good at all,

technology like this should absolutely and definitely have auto-self destruct. If there are any pieces big enough to be useful, the manufacturer should be not only ashamed, but penalized for 'giving' away secret military technology.

Its sucks that we lost such a valuable piece of technology to Iran but I would assume it crashed and destroyed at least some of the high tech stuff. There is no way Iran hacked this thing, its way out of their league of expertise and the amount of things that would have to go right for them is just unlikely. And lets say they did hack it's not like they could do much once they hacked it, it was just going to crash anyways. If Iran had sophisticated hacking ability why would they announce it to the world, wouldn't you want to keep it a secret so people don't change their hardware to counter it? Either way if this thing did actually crash in Iran I think we can expect to read an article within the next year on Popsci saying, "China has Developed a Stealth UAV". lol

Our UAV's should have a self destruct capability...programmed to self destruct after loss of communication for a certain period of time.

Out of curiosity, what percentage of your population has a favorable view of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? I've heard it's just the rural areas of the country that like him, but the rest of the population, especially the youth, wishes that the country was more moderate. Is this true? What everyone is overlooking is it could be a RQ-170 but without all the high tech on board. It might have been intentional to let the Iranian get their hands on it. Maybe it's loaded spy and eavesdropping equipment to spy on the Iranians. Track where they take it and that location is primary target if WWIII breaks out. You know there's going to be R&D at that location.

I highly doubt Iran has the tech to shoot down a sophisticated stealth UAV. It most likely crashed. But that’s what the U.S gets for spying on them. You idiots shouldn’t be mad at Iran for studying a gift like this, you should be mad at the government burning through tax payer money.

I believe that Iranian army technology is the most advanced because European countries and USA can't attack to Iran, despite their hatred of it.

I have already live in Iran, Iranian people are clever humans so that they are 35 years of sanctions, which turns around.

Interestingly, recently it is disclosed or discovered that USA's government allows privately American's companies to trade with Iran.

However, I am waiting to see what happens in the future.

I was thinking the same thing. The USAF could have just uploaded a virus to this thing so once the Iranians tried to get at the information they got a virus. I don't think they would think twice about plugging this thing into their computers or networks. Who would suspect a new stealth plane to be filled with a virus? It would be an easy way into the Iranian defense network.

It is true .As my point Of view more than 80% of Iranian are against their governments . I think if USA start the war whit First missal People going to overthrow the regime! in my idea, irans overall way is good, they had a revolution near to 33 years ago
it is clear that "people" wanted this kind goverment(i mean islamic country)
but it was not something USA and israeil like it
they (U,S and many eurpian countries) supported iraq( you can search about it always) in war against iran and still they kept pressure on iran because iran wanna his independency and maybe because iran is supporting palestine people
