So ... what's the difference with what we have now?
Pop stars act like machines, are treated like machines and their voices are enhanced with machines. The "music" is done by machines (not instruments) and these singers are judged by a machine tally of votes.
Mainstream music died in the 20th Century. The demise began in the late 70s and steadily fell from there. There are hidden artist gems, but you have to search for them. What's out now is so processed like a loaf of bread. It's just not good for us.
In fact, I bet robots will make music and singing better.

Unfortunately, I have to agree wholeheartedly with kormiko on this one. The robot might actually be programable with more intelligence and personality than most of the pop stars we have today. And the children won't suffer, because if she forgets to wear underwear and gets a Britney Spears-style crotch shot, all you'll see will be wires and servos.
Can we say "Persocom" That's if you add a bit more Teck into her or it... We have the technology to make a persocom now so why isn't there one? I have the Ideas for alot of things, I just need some one to help me out. rwdisland@yahoo.com

I have to disagree about the technology for making Persocoms right now though rwdisland. Our robots have mobility issues right now and AI isn't very developed, though we ARE progressing pretty well. I'd guess we'll have things like Persocoms sometime in the near future. Maybe 2020's?
On another note, I think robotic popstars would be better if not the same lol XD
