When it comes to flying, one of the ways to become a better pilot is through flight simulations, but these can often feel unrealistic. To fix that, researchers in Germany have developed a flight simulator that uses a robotic arm to make virtual flying seem real. As the pilot flies his way around a virtual sky complete with takeoffs and landings, the arm moves the simulator cockpit up and down and all around. The researchers hope this technology will soon be used for pilot training around the world.
