When is Delphi marketing this all-glass cockpit?

I think this is the next wave in auto accessories !

I think if they would expand on the idea then just what the picture shows. Make the cockpit more like a computer monitor. Where a person could customize it by changing benzels, inlays, colors, types of gauges, number of gauges, placement of gauges, analog or digital gauges and size of gauges. With special alerts overriding others, like a plug in radar detector having a display of a police car chasing another car when radar is detected. Also a low fuel, oil or other necessary warning go off and large above all others besides the little light or charm that cars do now.

Other plugs ins or downloads that people could pay for additionally would be computer codes of engine problems with repair diagrams/pictures for their particular vehicle. These could be uploaded thru the cd system.

Of course precautions would be made so the system would be safe for driving. You don't want to be learning how to repair a PVC value replace while driving 65mph down the interstate.

The possibilities are limitless just like the new things we see for our computers everyday."
