Watch some baby owls enter the world, in a window planter in Oklahoma.

A family in Oklahoma City has set up two cameras around a planter box on their second-story window ledge, where a female Great Horned Owl has come to roost for the fifth time. The owl, named "Mrs. Tiger" by the little girl who lives on the other side of the window, laid two eggs about a month ago. Now those eggs are about to hatch.

Any moment now, this Great Horned Owl momma will stand up, and we will see one--or maybe even two!--little baby Great Horned Owls breaking out of their shells.

I'd love to know what kind of cams you are using. I have a wildlife cam in Edmond Ok and would love to have sound like yours. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you for sharing this. I love owls. My car tag is OWL-NUT

Does anyone know why the babies don't move much? Do you think they are OK?

won't lights all night mess up her circadian cycle?

Finally I saw how she was getting the food. There is another owl bringing them to her. Was awesome to see him fly in, drop off the food, and fly back out.

The babies are fine....there's two of them....I saw them feeding yesterday...or I should say Mama was feeding them..Papa had brought a big, juicy mouse for them to eat...lol...I love watching this video stream!!!! I've seen Mama comme and go...and Papa come a couple of times...Thank you Ms. Alessondra for letting us watch with you as these babies grow up!!!

Wow!!! Looks like someone bagged a rabbit!!!!....Those owls will be eatin' good for a day or two...lol....

I'm still enjoying watching this Great Horned Owl and her young....tonight she left the nest and the two owletts were alone for a while....they've grown so much!!! When she came back it was so sweet to watch her nestle in on top of them and nuzzle them in under her wings....I'm going to miss them when they "fly the coup".....lol

It has been so much fun to watch these owlets grow up in front of our eyes. The family who has been supporting this effort have given us great views. The neighbors who showed us the owlets on other balconies and on the front stoop have given us another view. Returning last night to realize the birds had left Alessondra's was upsetting. Seeing the one owlet again on the balcony was quite a surprise. Watching the mother bring food and then leave with the food ,as an enticement for the babies to follow, was quite exceptional.

It must be so much fun to have so much enrichment happening right outside your own window.

Thanks for sharing!
