The climate is soon coming to destroy you, but in the meantime you can enjoy this beautiful piece of the modern body of climate science that unequivocally spells your eventual doom. This high-res atmospheric model was created by NASA’s Discover supercomputer and using the Goddard Earth Observing System Model, Version 5 (GOES-5) and shows the global distribution of aerosols.
Says NASA: This portrait of global aerosols was produced by a GEOS-5 simulation at a 10-kilometer resolution. Dust (red) is lifted from the surface, sea salt (blue) swirls inside cyclones, smoke (green) rises from fires, and sulfate particles (white) stream from volcanoes and fossil fuel emissions.
It’s also very pretty. Click through below for a wallpaper-worthy version.
The incredible innovations, like drone swarms and perpetual flight, bringing aviation into the world of tomorrow. Plus: today's greatest sci-fi writers predict the future, the science behind the summer's biggest blockbusters, a Doctor Who-themed DIY 'bot, the organs you can do without, and much more.

Pollution in general, CO2 and yes these Aerosols enhance the colors and hues of our sun rises and sunsets.
Somehow, I do not feel a thank you is in order. ;)
I like this weather model even better. It certainly saved hundreds of lives;

This somewhat resembles an oil spill. Observe the diffusing swirls and the blends of color. The smoke and fossil fuel aerosols to the sky are like oil spills to the ocean.
Those computer generated graphics are really not scary. Maybe nextyear comet ison 2012 will light up this blog...its magnitude?Brighter than our moon? Its another surprise entity. Comet Hale Bopp that was scary in the late 90s ...low estimate twas 100km diameter came out a no where,loaded with anomalies,visible for 18 months and I remember watchin the entity. The view made me realize how fragile every spec on earth really is!
Indeed Freddy, I remmember it too. If 100k diam, hit us we are done either from enital blast or snow ball effect to follow. CO2 does not drive climate. This report above is actually a fair one all the Aerosols noted are natural. Only 0.000 somothing percent would be from humans anyways.
