Cheetahs are "nature's speed machine," writes graphic designer Jacob O'Neal. It can go from zero to 60 MPH faster than a Ferrari Enzo. And its paws are more like a dog's than a housecat's, allowing a better grip on the ground. Check out O'Neal's amazing infographic for more.

Ok, that's nice.
Ooohh.
So fast you'd be dead before you felt the fear!
Well, if you can evade it for about one to two minutes, it will get tired and have to stop.
Yea just stare it down for two minutes like a Lonely Assassin.
But blink and your dead!
We as humans would not have anything to fear from a cheetah, because we are also predators, and not on the menu. A small lonely child with a 'very' desperate (hungry) cheetah could have a problem, but even then ...doubtful. They would only attack a human if they or their cubs were being threatened.
Since we're on the subject of speed machines, the peregrine falcon has been clocked at over 200 miles per hour.
This technology we call life, is simply awesome!
