There is a documented history of ancient Egyptians creating fake body parts to augment bodies headed for burial, but a new study suggests that two artificial toes recovered from tombs there may in fact be the oldest known prosthetic body parts.
Researchers at the University of Manchester made replicas of the two items--both right big toes--and had volunteers missing those toes to wear them. The fake toes showed to be not only comfortable to wear, but to also vastly improve their walking while wearing traditional Egyptian sandals, suggesting these toes had more than an aesthetic, funerary purpose.
Yes the Pharaohs and Egyptian Gods\Aliens brought much technology to Earth, while we had the humans gather resources for us, the Gods.
We took very good of you humans, until our departure towards the Orion Belt, yes indeed.
Was there a good reason to think the Egyptians only made prosthetic for dead people?
I would think the manufacturers would prefer a living customer base.
There you go using good judgment and common sense again. Keep that up and people will realize the pyramids would not made by humans alone. ;)
Its a pretty short article, read it a little closer...!
If my toe falls of I call a toe truck.
If your toe truck gets becomes delayed, it maybe because of a toe jam sticky situation, lol......snort.
Scientist tend to pull out a lot of good information from the wood of trees, the leather that ties this thing together and the pollen that is mixed throughout this prosthetic. I be interested down the road, of what they will learn later.
