We have a few delistings and halts going on today. First, despite the bad news for HD-DVD that surfaced last week, there were more titles available on HD-DVD than Blu-Ray at the year's end. And so our HDVSBLU prop pays out at $100. The market missed out on this one: trading was halted at $47.25 per share.
Meanwhile, at the Macworld keynote speech this morning, Jobs finally publicized the iPhone sales figures: 4 million since its June 29th debut. IPSALES was set to pay out if Apple sold more than 4 million; falling ever so short, it closes at $0. High hopes for Apple, here: It halted at $69.50.
Two other Macworld-related stocks, 3GIPHON and NWTON, have been halted. We'll make the official call once the expo is over. Thanks for playing and, as always, happy trading!

Curious if you have an ETA on some halted issues' payouts: APPLEPC, MADDEN, PLANKTOS ?
He said 4 million. Exactly? Did he say 4,000,001? or did he say 3,999,999? We need more accurate figures before we call this one a dead heat with the prediction.
Just wondering since its been 5 days since Feb 15, when is MIYAHOO going to pay out?
whatever happened to admin's commentary when delisting and IPO?
Halts are such a pain to users who might have been relying on that particular stock. Why should the ppx continue having halts, is there any alternative? If you think of one please email it to the people who run the ppx and that would help a lot of people!

What does a halt mean? I am new to this... will I lose my "short"money in 5bucks if they call a halt?
No, you will not lose your short money if they call a halt. All a halt means is that no more trading is allowed. Usually happens when a prop has lived its life or the prop comes true or not. When you short, you are betting that the prop will not come true within the given time period. If it halts, and did not come true within that period, you get your money, and then some.

When is Genedope is going to pay? You people seem to want to be unfair to those who got into this stock early and now are not paying up. You specified it will close at the end of the Beijing games.
