make your own DVDs

You can buy music online and burn it to a disc, but piracy-paranoid studios have stopped you from doing the same with movies. Qflix changes that. Its technology lets you download a movie and burn it to a DVD that works in any player. The system uses modified recording drives and blank discs pre-encoded with copy protection. The blessing of the DVD Copy Control Association (which includes the major studios) paves the way for three options: DVD-burning on your home PC, in-store kiosks that make movies on demand, and burn-to-order services for custom compilations. qflix.com
