clear calls

Take noise-suppression technology designed for tanks and helicopters, pack it into an affordable Bluetooth headset, and you get the clearest cellphone conversations yet. The Jawbone uses a voice-activity sensor that rests on your cheek to tell when you’re talking. When you’re not, a pair of microphones samples the sound around you to create a noise profile of the environment. The system subtracts the ambient noise when you speak, leaving just your voice, clear above the din. $120; jawbone.com
