Before the Apple Watch and Android Wear stormed the scene, Pebble brought smartphone users a way to check phone notifications right on their wrist. Now the Kickstarter-founded company is bringing yet another update to their smartwatch lineup. Today the company announced a suite of new products: the Pebble 2, the Pebble Time 2, and the Pebble Core.

As usual, Pebble has launched a Kickstarter for the three new devices. Which you can check out here.

Pebble is finally releasing an actual sequel to the company’s first smartwatch. The $99 Pebble 2 carries over the e-ink screen that each watch from the company has come equipped with. By not using an LCD screen like other modern smartwatches like the iPhone-pairing Apple Watch or Samsung’s Gear S2, the Pebble 2 is able to squeeze a week’s worth of battery power out of one charge. Like other Pebble devices, the Pebble 2 continues to support both iOS and Android, and offers interchangeable straps. The difference between this and the first Pebble is its sleeker design and added features: A heart-rate monitor, a step tracker, a microphone for voice replies, and an anti-scratch coating on the screen. Shipments of the Pebble 2 will begin in September.

Pebble updates last year’s Pebble Time with the Pebble Time 2. A larger screen with 80 percent more pixels improves readability, and the slimmer bezel, incorporating stainless steel, gives the Time 2 a sleeker design. The watch also comes equipped with a heart rate monitor and pedometer, as well as a microphone, for $169, arriving in November.

The Pebble Core allows playback of Spotify without a phone attached

Pebble Core

With a giant capacitive button on the face of the small device, Pebble Core is an iPod-Shuffle-like music player that runs Android. The Core can serve up Spotify music saved on the device. Built-in GPS allows the Core to track your run with apps like Runkeeper, Strava, Google Fit and more. According to Pebble, the battery lasts for 9 hours of music playback and GPS tracking, and can be recharged wirelessly using the Qi standard—similar to the Galaxy S7 or other Qi-supporting devices. The square shape is reminiscent of devices like the Mighty Spotify player. Though offering smartphone components within, we could see the Core opened up to more functionality and greater interoperability with Pebble watches in the future.

The Pebble Core will go for $69 and begin shipping in January.
