If they're ending the game, and the props don't have a reason to pay out, they will just leave them as is. They end where they end. In what fair way could you pay out stocks that haven't been resolved? Also, why chase good money after bad, or use man hours at your company on a project that you are discontinuing?

To make it simpler:

1. Yes

To Chefboiaarni:
Yes, I agree with you. However, this is just what we think. It would be good to here from them.

Sorry for typos

i think all the stocks that will not have closed at the time should pay out at there price so if a stock is at $50 it will halt on june 1st and pay out at $50

Arkadi, I'd imagine they will give you the specifics you want fairly soon, assuming that PopSci would like keep the goodwill of the players so that we will carry on with their future games. I'm not assuming too much, am I.........?

Fisher, I highly doubt that's part of the program capabilities. Otherwise, they would have done that to pay out some of the previous stocks that were mired in controversy.

This market is crashing.
Sell-off everything now, and walk away.
Or, Short everything, and cover your shorts at the last minute.

PPX: The Final Countdown
PPX coming to the end of its two-year run
By PopSci StaffPosted 05.08.2009 at 3:51 pm0 Comments
The PopSci Predictions Exchange will come to an end on May 31. It’s been an amazing two years, with 33,339 registered users betting on the future of our scientific and technological world. We extend our appreciation to all of the dedicated traders who have made this game what it is. It’s been a great run!
Over the next few weeks, all new propositions will feature payout statements that will resolve before the game ends. Ramp up your short-term predictions engines, and build up your net worth. At the end of the month, the top 100 traders will be immortalized on PopSci.com in a PPX Hall of Fame.
On June 1, PopSci.com will introduce a new interactive game: the PopSci Quiz. The Quiz will give you the chance to really let your science and technology smarts shine. We’ll see you there!

So what? It just does not tell anything about the long terms ones. I agree with Chefboiaarni that ignoring these stocks would be the most logical thing to do. But who knows? We need a clarification. Why not?
