My rank went from 20,266 - 40%tile,
to 9,353 - 72%tile, IN ONE DAY.
But my net-worth is still only 259K.

same here, this phenomenon may not be limited to a few people, it could be glitch however i think that there might not be many people participating in the PPX thinger (fancy i know) so changes may be more extreme. Just a suggestion.
