It's not a real jet pack.

I hate how we're so paranoid about individual wordings.

Okay, it's not a real jetpack. Now, will he sell one of his non-jetpacks within the time limit?
He's built one and demonstrated that it works. There's no doubt that people will be asking to buy one. Even if he builds one custom for a deep-pocketed wannabe Buck Rogers (or Dr. Robinson, or whatever), it'll still satisfy the prop.
This looks pretty long to me. Popsci made the payout easy by saying he only has to sell one. And it doesn't need an aircraft license in the U.S. because it qualifies as an ultralight craft (check out Martin Jetpack's specs at http://www.martinjetpack.com/technical-information.aspx).
Also, if you click on the "how do I buy one" link at the top of the page, you'll be taken to where you can order one. So the jet packs have definitely been offered for sale.

Wait but how is it not a jet pack what would u call it so it will be appealing to people and so it will actually sell
I would call it a "LeafBlower 9000+"
I'm still trying to decide whether to short or long this... I might just ride the wave and take my money back before results are in.
Hmm.... JETPK up 2.75. Could it be because of the news of the orders from two Australians?
www.themotorreport.com.au/22423/the-martin-jetpack-the-coolest-way-to-commute/
"At least two wealthy Australian businessmen are among those who have put their hands up for one of the first $US100,000 ($A158,503) jetpacks, due off the floor of the Christchurch factory at the end of this year."
I'm sure more are waiting for a jetpack, but just didn't make the news.
The key for this prop is the delivery time frame. Will they deliver one by the prop deadline?
According to their faq "Delivery for the first customers will be approximately 12 months from order."
And the infomation on www.martinjetpackusa.com hasn't changed. It still states "First customer deliveries are expected in late 2009."
So unless July is considered late in the year (or I missed something) nothing has really changed with this sub-$30 prop.
Maybe I was too subtle with that last post.
Since delivery of the first jet pack (part of the payout requirement) is expected late this year, this prop should still be short.
Now if I missed some piece of news, I'd appreciate it if someone could point me to some information that warranted such a move (a delivery date or something thats states that the first delivery already happened or is scheduled before July 30).
