Stupid worthless 1.25 volt batteries that are supposed to have approximately the same average voltage as a regular single-use 1.5 volt battery. But the idiotic things won't even boot up my wife's new Nikon. We need 1.5 volt rechargeables. Where the hell are they?

As stated above, we need better rechargeable batteries.
On PDA's I hope not. I am a voracious reader and have a pocket pc I bought as a refurb from a reputable company. Using Mobipocket, I can read lots of books without cutting down any trees. Amazon's Kindle and Sony's Reader are better, but not a few hundred dollars better. IMO the Kindle with its web service is a better choice, but it;s just too expensive.
Satellite Radio as compared to regular broadcast is so much better. Even the stations that have commercials have less than a regular radio broadcast. For example its like watching a movie on a pay channel or one on network TV. Which do you prefer?
As far as print magazines, sorry but I'll take the digital version every time. I keep getting greener with each passing year.

I agree with the passing tech that seems to be usefull at first, but then is completely and utterly useless in the end. Pocket PC's are dumb. I had one before and it was more of a novelty than a usefull device for me. I prefer to write poeple's phone numbers down now than write them on a handheld, Why? It can be deleted, ohhh! goodbye phone number from hot girls I've met. Goodbye handheld for lettting me down.

I also don't know why most small tech devices need to be replaced after 2 or 3 years of faithfull service. My ipod just hit the daisies after 3 years and the geeks at the ipod store wanted to charge me a hundred bucks to fix the black and white brick. Same with cellphones too. Those Razorz just die too for me to keep up.

i pods. yell at me all you want for being an apple hater, im damn proud of it. i pods are a fad and as all fads before they will eventually die. i phones are no exception. (if i had what i wanted apple would go the way of Enron but problly 3 years most likely more)

oh and non flash hdd drives, with increasing flash technology they're inevitably going to go extinct within my lifetime. (4-5 years)

next is standalone (desktop placed) mics for computers, i went to the store for one because i needed a mic with a really long cord that didn't knock out the use of my 5.1 surround and ended up having to go to 14 other stores before i even found one (1.4 years)

(not done yet)

drm music. enough said (not soon enough)

and lastly for now, corded peripherals. i mean they're pretty much dead already. (2-3 years)
