I'm going to guess I started in October. Just cracked the top 250, currently at 249.

I started Dec.21 and am currently 620 and gaining daily

I started about June or July, the same day that I recieved the issue that introduced the PPX, I am ranked 7th. I believe there is a definite correlation. I think it has a lot to do with being inside the top 50. I do, however, have about 15 students who took my PPX class and they are all inside the top 600 or so with about 5 or so in the 300s.

I think I started in September and have been stuck around 189 for a while now.

Think I started in early July, I moved up to 21st place, then exploited a flaw in the system and traded my way up to 17 th place (making about $250,000 in a few days) then proceeded to intentionally lose money to move me back to 21st place (which was harder to do than making that much money), In November sold all my stocks except Google, and sat out the massive payouts in Jan (except Google) and I am now at 61 and holding less than half of my net worth in stocks.

Their was a flaw that occurred when they restarted commissions, myself and a couple other people found it and warned admin what was going on and they did nothing so I proceeded to chronicle my exploitation of the flaw (its all in the old forums, somewhere). They finally fixed it and I then intentionally lost money to get roughly back to where I was. However I'm certain a lot of people knowingly and unknowingly made a lot of money from the flaw (which instead of subtracting the commission added it, So the more trades you made the more money you made, I was able to increase my portfolio by about 10K-14K in about 10 minutes, with almost no movement in the stocks. Because it was the right thing to do. I can only control how I play the game, and that is not how I choose to get ahead. Often times a persons character is not defined by what he does when he is pressured to do something, but rather what he does when there is no pressure at all.

I am ranked 711. I started in August of last year. It has been fun so far. I would like some trading tips though. Although, I have gained 200 spots in a week or so.

milk, first of all thank for calling my idea moronic. And while you certainly seem wise beyond your years (no sarcasm), perhaps you haven't studied statistics yet. I know there's a correlation, I would like to know how strong the correlation is.

Yeah, my eyes skipped over that part. I'm sorry, Bill. It's not a bad idea. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings. However, I think that we should also do a thread like this but have it be "rank and time spent playing per day," because I think that that would be a stronger correlation.

My feelings aren't hurt, really I was just giving you a hard time. I do really like the idea for a new post, although it would be a little harder to gather a true sample population. Most likely, most of the responses would come from people who spend a fair amount of time on here. Those that don't frequent the site, or the forums wouldn't be represented well, so the results might be a little skewed. On the other hand, this is just for fun so who cares if the results aren't 100% accurate.

4 Days later and I am now #857, too bad this isn't real money :(

I have a student who started around November and he is currently ranked around 190 or so. That's not too bad. He is pretty devoted to this. I think he would bring the correlation down a bit.

I started about three weeks ago and I am currently 3214. Waiting for GASPRICE to take off and hoping that TOPTUNES keeps rising.
