F-22 Raptor U.S. Airforce

While we take pride in informing you of the most disgusting, vile and otherwise detestable jobs in science, IEEE Spectrum takes a slightly different approach in its annual presentation of engineering dream jobs. The magazine just released this year’s selections. Some of the highlights:

* David Downey, a software engineer who tests high-tech biking and running gear for Garmin International's fitness products division.
* James Brown, a test pilot on the F-22 Raptor for Lockheed Martin Corp.
* Roger Hill, who develops devices that can be attached to fish, marine mammals, and birds in order to monitor their functions and locations for Wildlife Computers.
