The very latest in robotic hands

In 2005, we covered Obrero, a state-of-the-art robotic hand that Eduardo Torres-Jara was developing at MIT.

Since then, Torres-Jara has upgraded the mechanical mitt. The new version, Gobot, can pick up and manipulate objects that other grippers would crush or drop.

In this video, it picks up those slippery little Go stones, a challenge even for human hands.
