This is a better place project - they are doing great!
yanivnizry: Not sure what you mean by "better place project" - but I think you're right about them doing great! Just doing it is doing great...
I hope it takes off. I was one of the many people who was really choked by what happened to electric cars documented in the movie "Who killed the Electric Car" FYI:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Who_Killed_the_Electric_Car
(it says no linked URLs, so just put http etc in front if needed)
LET's DO THIS FOR OIL & OIL FILTER CHANGES
Hey, why not take this idea and use it with existing technology. For instance, it would be great if one could pull up to the gas station (in a properly equipped car) and have the oil and filter changed automatically underneath it as one fills up on fuel. I've also been a proponent of robotic fueling pumps.
I liked the charge connector...
Ya but its too difficult and expensive to happen.
The switchable battery is the one concept that if implemented globaly would advance the electric car greatly.
One of the main drawbacks of the electric car is the time it takes to charge it. If the switch stations(with universal snap in batteries) were set up across the country, like gasoline stations are now,it would make the cars much more desirable. Now if you want to drive a (charge up car)across country, having to stop and wait for for frequent carges makes it a very time wasting trip.
I have contacted several auto and other companies for a long time now(about this route) and they don't seem to want to intergrate this concept into thier autos. But in time,I believe, they will!
