Smartphones are increasingly impressive cameras. It used to be that any photo taken with a phone had major, glaring weaknesses, but not anymore--the sensors are bigger, the processing more nimble, and even the manual controls are more extensive. That doesn't mean smartphone shots are always good, though--they still have a very particular set of strengths and weaknesses.
