I love graphics cards with their own fans. The wrench is interesting too although it seems a little ungainly.
Video cards love you too, lol.
Video cards is one of the simplest ways to upgrade the feel of speed of the home computer, verse the stardard video card the manufactor usually supplies.
You could not be more wrong about video cards... Your video card will not increase the speed of your computer unless you are benchmarking your speed within a graphics intensive game. Otherwise for the average user (word processing and surfing the internet), upgrading the RAM and the processor will grant a much larger and much more noticeable increase in performance for (usually) much less money.
He didn't say a better video card would speed up your computer, he said it could make it FEEL faster, which is absolutely true in the case of video intensive games. A game that lags due to the video card not being able to keep up is one of the most frustrating things that I have ever encountered as a gamer.
I understand your point of view, since a lot of variable are lot out of the starting point, what is the hardware, operating system, type of game application or program typically being used. So people in general could argue my above comment all day long. Yes the supplied memory from the manufacturer was given at minimum, then adding more memory would help too. You make a good point.
Phoenx59, you sir got the perspective of what my comment was made.
All take care. In general, I was just being pro for the video card in the article.
I'm gonna have to buy that vacuum cleaner. My wife could definitely use more focused suction.
With reference to graphics cards, the article said "Speed Demon GAMERS" (my emphasis on GAMERS) - and in most significant PC games, a good video card will indeed "speed up" your PC to a huge extent. The article did not say "speed demon wordprocessors" or "speed demon web-surfers".
