So says the CTIA, the mobile industry arbiter, as reported by the NY Times. Many in the business believe data use will soon become the primary pricing factor in monthly plans rather than a flat-fee add-on, replacing a set amount of monthly minutes. Also, staggeringly, text message use has surged 50% in 2009 compared to just one year ago. [NY Times]
