Nearly 500 miles! I can move a ton of freight almost 1 nanometer using 1 gallon of orange juice! Is that close?

While I was, regretably, not first. The answer is nearly 500 miles. Slightly better mileage than my Prius.

I found out the CSX trains averaged 468 miles per gallon per ton in 2009.
