I *think* the point of the piece was about the scientist characters, not the actors. So, while Bakula was a captain on Enterorise, he wasn't scientist.. Same for John Crichton.

Even though Bakula will always be best known for Quantum Leap, he was most recently a scientist on Chuck.

Yeah, but I don't know if he was "sexy."

If I hadn't seen that there are some modern shows up there I wouldn't have said anything, but since there are... What about Dr. Gregory House from House (Hugh Laurie)? And Dr. Charlie Eppes (David Krumholtz) or Dr. Amita Ramanujan (Navi Rawat) from Numb3rs? And Anyone from any of the C.S.I family of shows (they seem to be trying to get a franchise on pretty geeks)? Where's Dr. Jacob Hood (Rufus Sewell) from Eleventh Hour? And how about the absolutely edible Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) from NCIS?

I'm not even going to get into the movies... I'd be here all day! Suffice to say, this is a very incomplete list.

I have to agree with the comment about the young Ms.Perrette.Not only does she play a scientist on TV,she is an equally accomplished scientist in real life.It is for this reason she should rate #1 on any "hot person" list.

Sono d'accordo con il commento delle Ms.Perrette.Not giovane solo non si gioca uno scienziato in TV, lei è uno scienziato ugualmente compiuto in life.It reale è per questo motivo avrebbe dovuto tasso # 1 a qualsiasi "persona caldo" elenco.
